About HandiPets Plus
In 2015, we adopted our little one, Chloe, after her first IVDD surgery. We quickly learned how difficult it was to find a bag that fit well, as all of the other options on the market were "one size fits all." With a little neck, big chest, long back, and tiny legs, nothing we found worked for our baby girl. Frustrated with the lack of options we had, we made our little one a bag that was tailored just for her. Chloe was an excellent model and we went through several adaptations before perfecting the template and patenting our design. Realizing that others were probably experiencing the same thing, we decided to open our own business in 2016 to help as many people and pets as possible.
Sizing details
The measurement guide can be found in the listing's photos and in the item description for each item in my shop. Here are the measurements I need: around your pet's neck, around their chest house behind their front legs, length of back leg(s) from belly to toes (or note that there are no legs), and length of body/spine from the base of their neck to the base of their tail (tail not included). Without these measurements, I cannot start making the bag.
Care instructions
Every item in my shop is machine washable, but I suggest that you hang dry or machine dry on a low setting to prevent shrinking. Additionally, please be sure to connect hook and loop tabs on neck and chest closures before washing.
How long does it take to receive my item once I place my order?
Honestly, it depends on how many orders are ahead of you and how many items you order. I try to get orders out as quickly as possible, typically taking no more than 5 days from time of order, assuming that I receive all required measurements. Any orders that are placed with priority express shipping will automatically be moved to the front of the line and get into the mail within a day of purchase (M-F).
When are orders made?
I typically fill orders Monday - Friday.
Returns and Exchanges
Since every bag is made to order for each pet based specifically on their unique measurements and needs, we do not offer returns or exchanges. However, if there is a major fit issue with your pet's bag, please send me a message and I will be happy to alter the bag for you, free of charge.
